TREE OF LIFE – AN ETERNAL
Silence of Arabian sand dunes
Bespoke of a marvel
A lone tree with an anatomy robust
Time immemorial, it thrives
I question myself in words and thoughts
This tree is no ordinary life
Raging winds are only a mere spectator
To this dark bark, it poises a resilience and pride
Companion to a new moon in still nights
Perhaps, composes a poem on love
Gentle winds on days blow in a direction
Branches of the tree sway in an opera dance
Why is it the tree of life?
Has it got a heart and soul too like me
It would compellingly feel the pain and sorrow I know
Yet, in harsh wilderness, I have never heard it complain.
