Contribute your art, poetry, article, short story or photography to My Beautiful Bahrain.
Open to anyone, from any nationality, currently living in Bahrain, or anyone, anywhere in the world who has, at some point, spent time living in Bahrain.
SHORT STORIES
You can write a short personal story about life and living in Bahrain. Up to around 1500 words. Please also send an author's biography, plus a portrait picture, and any social media, contact details etc. If you have any photos to go with your short story, please send them too! Please do not send as a pdf file though, as wording is sometimes difficult to cut and paste while keeping the correct format.
ARTICLES
You can write a specific article about life and living in Bahrain, for example food, sightseeing, places to visit, museums, art and cultural events etc., etc. Up to around 1500 words. Please also send an author's biography, plus a portrait picture, and any social media, contact details etc. If you have any photos to go with your article, please send them too! Please do not send as a pdf file though, as wording is sometimes difficult to cut and paste while keeping the correct format.
POETRY
You can send up to six pieces of poetry about Bahrain. Please also send a poet's biography, plus a portrait picture and any social media, contact details etc. Please do not send as a pdf file though, as wording is sometimes difficult to cut and paste while keeping the correct format.
ART
You can send up to ten photographs of your art - however, art must be of, or pertaining to, or referencing Bahrain, as per the platform's title My Beautiful Bahrain. Please also send your artist's biography, plus a portrait picture and any social media, contact details etc.
PHOTOGRAPHY
You can send up to twenty images of Bahrain (small jpeg file size please). Please also send your photographer's biography, plus a portrait picture, and any social media, contact details etc.
IMPORTANT:
We do not accept anything of a political nature, or referencing Bahrain in any negative way - please keep in mind the title of the platform: My Beautiful Bahrain.
By submitting you agree for us to publish your work on this website, and/or on our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as in any possible future publications (books, e-books and/or magazines) of the same title. However, you do retain copyright and are free to publish your work anywhere else, and at any time.
