STRANGE PLACE

At fifteen, daddy came to this strange place,

knowing no one, knowing nothing.

Daddy came to help out with work.

Little did he know, this place would become his everything.

Sea and desert it was and that was all,

development came, he saw it with his own eyes.

Life continued, a beautiful wedding,

a baby boy, his little prize.

That baby boy grew up soon,

was an introvert and a pessimist.

He dreamed big and brave but

never was really content.

Time went by, and he remained the same,

until two wonderful men he met

native to this strange place.

These two men showed him different.

Change came to him easy with them.

Mingling was not a problem any more.

Before he knew it, he was becoming

part of this strange place, this culture.

Soon he was no longer the lonely son

of the fifteen year old who,

who had come from far away to this strange place

with deserts golden and skies blue.

In this strange place, no longer strange,

he found opportunity and friendship,

like he couldn’t have found far away.

Life even brought him courtship.

This was it, life falling into place;

his happy ending,

in this strange place.

It was only the beginning.
