JEWEL OF THE SEA
Your precious life starts on the edge
of the ocean’s breast,
on the seabed that you call home,
carefully wrapped in soft tissues
and well protected like under a dome.
Your home, both wild and calm,
keeps you gently in its arms,
while you grow over many years to come,
your home ensures that there is no harm.
Your beauty evolves nurtured by the sea,
in all colours and shapes,
surrounded by corals and reefs,
bring to life what everyone can see…
… a beautiful Pearl – the Jewel of the Sea!
About Claudia
A PR & Communications Specialist, Claudia has an international background across different regions such as Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Inspired by the rich culture, heritage and natural beauty of the Kingdom of Bahrain, her writing and poetry focuses on the tradition of pearl diving and the pearl. She has contributed to several books, including “My Beautiful Bahrain”, “More of My Beautiful Bahrain” and “Poetic Bahrain”. Claudia also regularly uses her passion for adventure trips and photography to create travel stories and columns which have been published in places such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Bahrain, U.A.E. and Germany. In addition, she has supported the Bahrain Writers’ Circle (BWC) in her role as PR & Media Director since 2013.
