Durrah: A Bead of Pearl
Soul's Echo
Eden's Tapestry
Monisha Anil Vyas, known by her pen name Isha, is a young versatile artist, accounting student and writer, born and raised in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Inspired by the nation's beauty, simplicity, and resilience, she created the captivating painting "Durrah" meaning a bead of pearl, as a tribute to her homeland. The central pearl, surrounded by smaller ones, symbolizes the strength and unique qualities of Bahrainis. Just as pearls are formed from adversity, Bahraini people are strengthened by life's challenges. Like the oyster that transforms an irritant into a precious gem, Bahrainis find beauty and resilience in the face of hardship. They possess an unwavering spirit and an enduring beauty that shines brightly. With intricate designs and a colorful palette, the artwork reflects the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom.
Monisha is proud to share her love for Bahrain through her art. She has been interviewed by Bahrain International Television and has showcased her work in a group exhibition with Bahrain Artistic Frames Center. Her talents extend beyond painting, as she is also a talented writer and poet. Monisha has contributed to the group anthology "Yellow Pages" and has been featured in the Gulf Daily News for her short story writing, winning three times to date. Beyond her artistic talents, Isha is a dedicated advocate for social causes. She has conducted art workshops to inspire young people and has raised funds for Palestine through the sale of her art prints; Artwork: Free Palestine. Her passion for making a positive impact on the world shines through in her work.
